August 31, 2020, Minis…try of Health – The Minister of Health, Dr. Frank Anthony received 5000 three ply surgical masks which will be used to counter the effects of COVID-19 on the
health sector. This donation was made by Mr. Feyaad Nohar of Leading Technology located on Croal Street, Georgetown. Nohar noted that this is an act of kindness since he recognized that there are many persons who cannot afford masks. With that in mind he plans on distributing masks to the administrative regions. Aside from the Ministry of Health, masks were also donated to the Guyana Police Force.
Dr. Anthony expressed gratitude to this contribution which adds to others made by international partners such as PAHO/WHO, the Indian High Commission, the Chinese Consulate, the International Committee for Democracy and VAS Energy Inc. and the Civil Defense Commission.
