13,271 new cases of infection with the COVID-19 were found over the past 24 hours, 1,891 of whom were hospitalized, it said.
Some 6,016 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition in intensive care units, it said.
The Iranian Health Ministry noted that 5,009,673 patients out of a total of 5,572,962 infected people have recovered or been discharged from hospitals.
The Health Ministry also announced that 37,748,710 Iranians have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine and 16,060,951 people have so far received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
