Iran’s Health Ministry has confirmed 9,857 new cases of COVID-19 infection in 24 hours, increasing the total number of cases to 5,934,495.
Health Ministry said that the virus has killed 153 patients since Monday noon, raising the overall death toll to 126,456.
So far, 5,521,931 patients have recovered from the disease or been discharged from the hospital.
It said 3,859 patients are also in critical conditions caused by more severe infection.
It noted that 35,620,381 COVID-19 tests have been taken across the country so far.
52,860,049 Iranians have received the first dose of the COVID19 vaccine and 35,283,617 people have so far received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Some 92,886 people have received the third dose of the COVID19 vaccine
