Iran’s Health Ministry has confirmed 232 new cases of COVID-19 infection in 24 hours, increasing the total number of cases to 7,232,034.

Health Ministry said that the virus has killed 5 patients since Tuesday noon, raising the overall death toll to 141,315.

So far, 7,049,442 patients have recovered from the disease or been discharged from the hospital.

It said 524 patients are also in critical conditions caused by more severe infection.

It noted that 52,245,557 COVID-19 tests have been taken across the country so far.

64,538,794 Iranians have received the first dose of the COVID19 vaccine and 57,851,214 people have so far received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Some 27,538,337people have received the third dose of the COVID19 vaccine.
