Iran’s Health Ministry has confirmed 268 new cases of COVID-19 infection in 24 hours, increasing the total number of cases to 7,230,321.

Health Ministry said that the virus has killed 7 patients since Monday noon, raising the overall death toll to 141,281.

So far, 7,035,798 patients have recovered from the disease or been discharged from the hospital.

It said 649 patients are also in critical conditions caused by more severe infection.

It noted that 52,031,785 COVID-19 tests have been taken across the country so far.

64,494,842 Iranians have received the first dose of the COVID19 vaccine and 57,790,865 people have so far received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Some 27,444,044 people have received the third dose of the COVID19 vaccine.
