Iran’s Health Ministry has confirmed 1,077 new cases of COVID-19 infection in 24 hours, increasing the total number of cases to 7,217,117.

Health Ministry said that the virus has killed 21 patients since Monday noon, raising the overall death toll to 140,996.

So far, 6,969,470 patients have recovered from the disease or been discharged from the hospital.

It said 1,031 patients are also in critical conditions caused by more severe infection.

It noted that 50,862,245 COVID-19 tests have been taken across the country so far.

64,280,163 Iranians have received the first dose of the COVID19 vaccine and 57,478,369 people have so far received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Some 26,930,223 people have received the third dose of the COVID19 vaccine.
