Iran’s Health Ministry has confirmed 2,894 new cases of COVID-19 infection in 24 hours, increasing the total number of cases to 7,191,643.
Health Ministry said that the virus has killed 39 patients since Sunday noon, raising the overall death toll to 140,616.
So far, 6,918,860 patients have recovered from the disease or been discharged from the hospital.
It said 1,558 patients are also in critical conditions caused by more severe infection.
It noted that 50,020,619 COVID-19 tests have been taken across the country so far.
64,077,522 Iranians have received the first dose of the COVID19 vaccine and 57,156,201 people have so far received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Some 26,533,574 people have received the third dose of the COVID19 vaccine.
