Iran’s Health Ministry has confirmed 2,580 new cases of COVID-19 infection in 24 hours, increasing the total number of cases to 7,135,719.
Health Ministry said that the virus has killed 98 patients since Thursday noon, raising the overall death toll to 139,387.
So far, 6,805,081 patients have recovered from the disease or been discharged from the hospital.
It said 2,234 patients are also in critical conditions caused by more severe infection.
It noted that 48,534,882 COVID-19 tests have been taken across the country so far.
63,710,622 Iranians have received the first dose of the COVID19 vaccine and 56,452,606 people have so far received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Some 25,562,931 people have received the third dose of the COVID19 vaccine.
