Iran’s Health Ministry has confirmed 5,841 new cases of COVID-19 infection in 24 hours, increasing the total number of cases to 7,102,159.
Health Ministry said that the virus has killed 144 patients since Tuesday noon, raising the overall death toll to 138,260.
So far, 6,747,070 patients have recovered from the disease or been discharged from the hospital.
It said 3,428 patients are also in critical conditions caused by more severe infection.
It noted that 47,884,518 COVID-19 tests have been taken across the country so far.
63,274,619 Iranians have received the first dose of the COVID19 vaccine and 55,873,542 people have so far received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Some 24,342,205 people have received the third dose of the COVID19 vaccine.
