Iran’s Health Ministry has confirmed 1,171 new cases of COVID-19 infection in 24 hours, increasing the total number of cases to 6,201,467.
Health Ministry said that the virus has killed 42 patients since Wednesday noon, raising the overall death toll to 131,778.
So far, 6,045,890 patients have recovered from the disease or been discharged from the hospital.
It said 2,350 patients are also in critical conditions caused by more severe infection.
It noted that 42,484,271 COVID-19 tests have been taken across the country so far.
59,992,876 Iranians have received the first dose of the COVID19 vaccine and 52,344,829 people have so far received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Some 9,081,671 people have received the third dose of the COVID19 vaccine.
