Iran’s Health Ministry has confirmed 2,103 new cases of COVID-19 infection in 24 hours, increasing the total number of cases to 6,177,885.
Health Ministry said that the virus has killed 44 patients since Wednesday noon, raising the overall death toll to 131,211.
So far, 6,016,324 patients have recovered from the disease or been discharged from the hospital.
It said 2,821 patients are also in critical conditions caused by more severe infection.
It noted that 41,082,066 COVID-19 tests have been taken across the country so far.
59,313,976 Iranians have received the first dose of the COVID19 vaccine and 50,744,197 people have so far received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Some 4,593,787 people have received the third dose of the COVID19 vaccine.
