Iran’s Health Ministry has confirmed 3,228 new cases of COVID-19 infection in 24 hours, increasing the total number of cases to 6,147,872.

Health Ministry said that the virus has killed 78 patients since Thursday noon, raising the overall death toll to 130,524.

So far, 5,950,425 patients have recovered from the disease or been discharged from the hospital.

It said 3,169 patients are also in critical conditions caused by more severe infection.

It noted that 39,739,512 COVID-19 tests have been taken across the country so far.

58,489,565 Iranians have received the first dose of the COVID19 vaccine and 48,926,450 people have so far received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Some 1,971,229 people have received the third dose of the COVID19 vaccine.
