Minister of Health Hon. Dr. Frank Anthony visited the Diamond Diagno…stic Centre, East Bank Demerara on Saturday, November 21, 2020 to get a first hand look at ongoing works being carried out as part of a project to upgrade the facility to a “SMART Hospital”.
Accompanying the Minister was Permanent Secretary Mr. Malcolm Watkins, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Narine Singh, Regional Health Officer for Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica) Dr. Gavinash Persaud and other Ministry officials.
The project is ahead of schedule and is expected to be substantively completed by the end of this year.
