During 13 weeks of in-person learning at 17 K-12 schools in rural Wisconsin, only 7 of the more than 4,800 students and none of the 654 staff are known to have gotten COVID-19 at school. This report suggests that even with high rates of COVID-19 in the community, schools can use preventive measures such as mask wearing and have limited spread in school.
