WORLD HEART DAY

Launched 2 decades ago, World Heart Day is observed every September 29th And it seeks to drawing people’s attention to heart illness and the range of associated health issues, these being prevalent in Belize.
The day is observed to promote different preventive steps and changes in lifestyle to avoid any cardiovascular diseases, like heart attacks, strokeS, heart failure and other related conditions. In COVID-19 times these become rather important to address.
On average, more than 17 million people die from heart-related illnesses annually and in Belize they represent a leading cause of death.
