Thirty-seven people, 23 males and 14 females, tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday, September 18, from the 231 tests conducted by laboratories across the island.

Of the positive cases, one person was under the age of 18, and 36 were 18 years and older. There were 32 people in isolation facilities, while 325 were in home isolation. As at September 18, there were 559 COVID-19 related deaths.

The laboratories conducted 762,143 tests since February 2020, and recorded 102,230 COVID-19 cases (46,225 males and 56,005 females).

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of persons with at least one dose is 163,584 (71.6 per cent of the eligible population).  

The total number of fully vaccinated persons is 154,577 (57 per cent of the total population or 67.7 per cent of the eligible population).  The eligible population represents those persons who are 12 years and older.
