Under new provisions effective 1 January 2023, the costs of COVID-19 tests are no longer met by the Swiss Confederation. The FOPH expects to see a corresponding reduction in the volumes of tests conducted and increases in the estimated numbers of unrecorded cases for various dashboard indicators, and for laboratory-confirmed cases in particular.
