Ten patients have been diagnosed positive for COVID-19 in tests carried out today at Quarantine Centers in Asmara (8), Central Region; Mendefera (1), Southern Region; as well as OPD Services in Keren (1), in Anseba Region.
On the other hand, seventy-four patients who have been receiving medical treatment in hospitals in the Central Region have recovered fully and have been released from these facilities. Sadly, a 72-year old male patient in the hospital in Adi Quala, Southern Region, has died due to COVID-19.
The total number of recovered patients to-date accordingly stands at 1378 while the number of deaths has increased to seven.
The total number of confirmed cases in the country to-date has risen to 1950.
