Thirty two patients have been diagnosed positive for COVID-19 in tests carried out today at Quarantine Centers in the Central and Gash Barka Regions as well as at OPD Services in Asmara, Central Region.
Twenty six of these are nationals – Asmara (25) and Senafe (1) – who were scheduled to travel abroad on a Charter Flight. Four patients are from a Quarantine Center and OPD Services in Asmara. The remaining two patients are from Quarantine Centre in Gash Barka.
The total number of confirmed cases in the country to-date has accordingly risen to 1252.
The total number of recovered patients to-date stands at 643 while the number of deaths is one.
