A new MMWR report suggests K-12 schools can resume in-person learning without leading to rapid spread of COVID-19. An investigation of COVID-19 in K-12 schools in Florida from August-December 2020 found that fewer than 1% of registered students had school-related COVID-19, and fewer than 11% of K–12 schools reported outbreaks. Wearing masks, maintaining distance, and following other prevention measures by both schools and the community are essential to reducing the spread of COVID-19. Learn more: bit.ly/MMWR31921.
