A new CDC analysis found consistently lower COVID-19 incidence among younger children, especially those aged 10 and under, after some schools reopened for in-person learning in fall 2020. CDC recommends that K-12 schools be the last settings to close after all school and community mitigation measures have been implemented and the first to reopen when they can do so safely.
