Iran’s Health Ministry has confirmed 240 new cases of COVID-19 infection in 24 hours, increasing the total number of cases to 7,231,802.

Health Ministry said that the virus has killed 2 patients since Monday noon, raising the overall death toll to 141,310.

So far, 7,047,817 patients have recovered from the disease or been discharged from the hospital.

It said 539 patients are also in critical conditions caused by more severe infection.

It noted that 52,223,364 COVID-19 tests have been taken across the country so far.

64,533,076 Iranians have received the first dose of the COVID19 vaccine and 57,843,962 people have so far received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Some 27,526,458 people have received the third dose of the COVID19 vaccine.
