Iran’s Health Ministry has confirmed 5,586 new cases of COVID-19 infection in 24 hours, increasing the total number of cases to 7,089,892.
Health Ministry said that the virus has killed 201 patients since Sunday noon, raising the overall death toll to 137,948.
So far, 6,730,318 patients have recovered from the disease or been discharged from the hospital.
It said 3,722 patients are also in critical conditions caused by more severe infection.
It noted that 47,726,758 COVID-19 tests have been taken across the country so far.
63,149,233 Iranians have received the first dose of the COVID19 vaccine and 55,753,546 people have so far received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Some 23,981,558 people have received the third dose of the COVID19 vaccine.
