Iran’s Health Ministry has confirmed 1,677 new cases of COVID-19 infection in 24 hours, increasing the total number of cases to 6,198,590.
Health Ministry said that the virus has killed 22 patients since Monday noon, raising the overall death toll to 131,702.
So far, 6,042,589 patients have recovered from the disease or been discharged from the hospital.
It said 2,624 patients are also in critical conditions caused by more severe infection.
It noted that 42,281,617 COVID-19 tests have been taken across the country so far.
59,909,150 Iranians have received the first dose of the COVID19 vaccine and 52,140,405 people have so far received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Some 8,373,467 people have received the third dose of the COVID19 vaccine.
