Papua New Guinea recorded 341 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours ending 12 midday on Friday April 9, increasing the total number of cases to 8,342.
The country’s COVID-19 related death toll remains at 68.
Globally, the total confirmed cases of COVID-19 is 132,730,691 including 667,026 new cases reported on Friday April 9. The death toll is 2,880,726 of which 13,034 were reported for the same period.
Eleven provinces recorded new COVID-19 cases on Friday April 9. They are:
