Doses Administered is the total number of vaccine doses that have been given to residents and staff in long-term care facilities participating in the Federal Pharmacy Partnership for LTC Program as reported to CDC by pharmacy partners.

The number of vaccine doses administered as part of the Federal Pharmacy Partnership for LTC Program are included in the number of the total vaccinations reported for a jurisdiction. CDC’s COVID Data Tracker also provides this information for each jurisdiction (state, territory, or local entity) and Federal entity using interactive maps.

Jurisdictions not participating in the Federal Pharmacy Partnership for Long-term Care (LTC) Program are shown on the map in white. These jurisdictions are implementing their own vaccination plans to reach LTC staff and residents.

People receiving at least one dose includes the total number of people who received at least one of a two-dose vaccine and people who received one dose of a single-shot vaccine. CDC’s COVID Data Tracker attributes each dose to the state or territory in which the person lives. The data are also presented by type of person (staff vs. resident).

People who are fully vaccinated represent the number of people who received the second dose in a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine series and people who received one dose of a single-shot vaccines. CDC’s COVID Data Tracker attributes each dose to the state or territory in which the person lives. The data are also presented by type of person (staff vs. resident).

Staff and resident vaccinations were determined based on information received by CDC from pharmacy partners. Not all vaccine doses could be categorized as being administered to long-term care facility staff or residents. Overall numbers of doses administered, people receiving at least one dose, and people who are fully vaccinated include all vaccinations through the program, including those for which staff/resident status could not be categorized.
