COVID-19 vaccines are an important tool to help stop the pandemic. As of January 4, more than 4.5 million people have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
Healthcare personnel and people who live in long-term care facilities are recommended to receive COVID-19 vaccination first while supplies are limited, followed by frontline workers and people ages 75+, and then people with certain underlying medical conditions, people ages 65-74, and other essential workers. Until every person in the United States has access to a COVID-19 vaccine, continue to wear a mask, keep at least 6 feet between yourself and others, avoid crowds, and wash your hands often.
