LOOK: DOH COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN #176

As of 4PM today, September 6, 2020, the Department of Health reports the total number of COVID-19 cases at 237,365.

DOH likewise announces 23,074 recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 184,687.

A total of 2,839 confirmed cases are reported based on the total tests done by 96 out of 115 current operational labs. 19 labs failed to submit their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System (CDRS). These labs are:

9. Green City Medical Center
10. Ilocos Training Regional Medical Center (GX)
11. Marilao Medical and Diagnostic Clinic
12. Mary Mediatrix Medical Center
13. Philippine Red Cross
14. Philippine Red Cross – Clark Mol Lab (PAMPANGA)
15. Philippine Red Cross – Logistics and Training- SUBIC, ZAMBALES
16. Philippine Red Cross – Molecular Biology Laboratory
17. Philippine Red Cross – PLMC Laboratory
18. Philippine Red Cross – Port Area
19. Safeguard DNA Diagnostics

Of the 2,839 reported cases today, 2,302 (81%) occurred within the recent 14 days (August 24 – September 6, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (894 or 39%), Region 4A (594 or 26%) and Region 6 (225 or 10%).Of the 85 deaths, 29 occurred in September (34%), 33 in August (39%) 6 in July (7%) 3 in June (4%) 6 in May (7%) 7 in April (8%) and 1 in March (1%).

Deaths were from NCR (41 or 48%), Region 7 (15 or 18%), Region 4A (9 or 11%), Region 8 (4 or 5%), Region 10 (4 or 5%), Region 3 (2 or 2%), Region 5 (2 or 2%), Region 2 (1 or 1%), Region 6 (1 or 1%), Region 9 (1 or 1%), Region 12 (1 or 1%), Region 4B (1 or 1%), BARMM (1 or 1%), CARAGA (1 or 1%), and Unknown (1 or 1%).

There were 44 duplicates that were removed from the total case count. Of these, 28 recovered cases have been removed.

Moreover, there were twenty-seven (27) cases that were previously reported as recovered but after final validation, they were deaths (26) and active (1) cases.
